Get Into the Swing of Things at These Williamsburg Mini Golf Spots
Taking a trip to Virginia and want to get some time on the putting green while you’re there? Williamsburg is full of miniature golf courses for some good old family-friendly fun. From putt-putt to shrunken heads, Williamsburg mini golf spots have something exciting for everyone.
Mini Golf Courses and More in Williamsburg
When you’re in the area and get the urge to play some putt-putt, there are several local organizations that you can choose from to get your fix. And some locations offer more than just mini golf – you can also visit museums, such as the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, ride go-carts, or get in a few rounds of video games.
Catfish Cove Mini Golf
Catfish Cove is located right next door to Ripley’s Believe It or Not. This course features 18 holes that take you through a beautiful landscape of ponds and waterfalls. Catfish Cove is a great opportunity to get in a game of putt-putt golf after pursuing the oddities over at Ripley’s Believe it or Not – where you can never be too sure what will pop up.
The museum features plenty of oddities to marvel at, including the P.T. Barnum’s Fiji Mermaid, shrunken heads collected in 1923, and plenty of strange and mysterious occult artifacts.
Not to mention a 4D theater that uses 3D glasses along with water and air effects to fully transport you into the story – a perfect way to get off your feet and relax after a long day sightseeing and playing mini golf.
Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf
Lovers of mini golf, mark this spot on your treasure map with a big fat X. Pirate’s Cove is – as the name suggests – a pirate-themed mini golf course where you can learn the story of Blackbeard while getting your putt-putt fix.
There are two courses with 18 holes each. The courses have different difficulty levels, so you can opt to play the easier course if you have smaller kids with you, or try your hand at the harder holes if you’re a die-hard putt-putt enthusiast.
Pirate’s Cove is also kept in pristine condition with clean decking, curbing, and beautifully maintained greens. Despite it being the putt-putt home to roving marauders, you won’t find any wadded-up sandwich wrappers or bottle caps littering this course.
Play A Round Family Fun Center
The Play A Round Family Fun Center doesn’t just offer putt-putt golf – though its two courses are awe-inspiring. The courses are decorated to look like an African animal habitat, featuring hippos, giraffes, and elephants. Like Pirate’s Cove, they have two courses of 18 holes each.
In addition to their putt-putt courses, they have many other attractions that guarantee hours and hours of fun. If you’re looking for more competitive fun, you and your family can partake in a game of laser tag or race around the track in go-karts. Or maybe try your hand at some arcade games. The arcade features a large selection of prizes to choose from, as well as some iconic games such as Space Invaders.
Hungry after all that fun? Play A Round Family Fun Center features a concession stand with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is stacked with snack stand standards like hot dogs, pizza, and ice cream, making Play A Round the perfect place to stop for the day to play around and grab lunch.
Go-Karts Plus
Go-Karts Plus offers way more than just mini golf – but it does have that, too. Their putt-putt golf course is miner-themed and features a 30-foot waterfall with plenty of shade – which is especially important since they’re only open during the warm summer months.
In addition to mini golf, there are several go-kart tracks for different age levels. There are also plenty of amusement park rides that thrill kids of all ages. For younger kids, the area has the Python Kiddie Coaster. There are also classic bumper cars, as well as boat bumper cars that spray water. Older kids and adults who are thrill seekers will go nuts for the spinning, soaring DISK’O’.
After everyone has had a great time putt-putting out in the sun, you can all cool off in the air-conditioned arcade onsite, featuring plenty of classic games such as Air Hockey and Ring Toss, as well as modern favorites like Mario Kart.
